General Information To Know:
Although your household may sign up for both “Dinner & Host” and “Side and/or Dessert”, we invite you to consider inviting another person or household to share in the company and in the loving spirit the missionaries bring into your home. If you prefer to have it just be you and your family feeding the missionaries, please sign up for both. If you would like to only do one part of the evening, we can support in arranging another household to do the other part, including opening up their home to host.
Dinner is typically from 5pm to 6pm. There are certain basic “rules” such as a single young man cannot feed the sisters without another adult sister present. The conversation at the table usually revolves around “getting to know you” and a seeking of ways that the missionaries could help you, a family member, or a neighbor. There is a short moment at the end, before departing, that a spiritual thought will be shared. This thought is arrived at through prayer prior to the missionaries entering into your home. The relevancy is often profound.
